Top 5 FAQ:
Question: How do I fly a kite?
Answer: A few pointers that might help...
- Lay the kite out flat and ensure the parafoils (holes in the top of the kite) are all untwisted
- Ensure that the bridle lines are not twisted (this is very important)
- Sweep the kite through the air to ensure that air is circulating into the parafoils and that there are no tangles, twists or blockages, this should give the kite lift.
- Try this a few times, filling the parafoils with air, hopefully lifting the kite.
- Now connect the flying lines again
- With only a small amount of line out, try doing the same as step 4
- hopefully the kite will now be lifting into the air
- now lengthen the line and launch the kite
- pull back and down on the line, this should give the kite lift
Please ensure that there is enough wind to fly the kite, around 12-19 MPH is good.
