FAQ 1

Question: How do I fly a kite?

Answer: A few pointers that might help...

  1. Lay the kite out flat and ensure the parafoils (holes in the top of the kite) are all untwisted
  2. Ensure that the bridle lines are not twisted (this is very important)
  3. Sweep the kite through the air to ensure that air is circulating into the parafoils and that there are no tangles, twists or blockages, this should give the kite lift.
  4. Try this a few times, filling the parafoils with air, hopefully lifting the kite.
  5. Now connect the flying lines again
  6. With only a small amount of line out, try doing the same as step 4
  7. hopefully the kite will now be lifting into the air
  8. now lengthen the line and launch the kite
  9. pull back and down on the line, this should give the kite lift

Please ensure that there is enough wind to fly the kite, around 12-19 MPH is good.
